1692 Farms — New Mexico landscape

Our Story

Farm Raised Animals. Raised with Care.

At 1692 Farms, the way we raise our animals isn't a selling point — it's the whole point. Free range, open pasture, and a family that takes that responsibility seriously every single day.

Our History

Where We Come From

We started 1692 Farms because we believed there was a better way. Not just better for the animals — though that matters deeply to us — but better for the people eating the food. When you raise animals with genuine care, it shows in everything: the way they live, the quality of the meat, and the integrity of the people behind it.

Our farm sits in the high desert of New Mexico, where the land is tough and the seasons are honest. We raise free-range beef cattle and sheep, keep laying hens, tend a kitchen garden, and make candles and dog treats right here on the property. Everything we sell, we stand behind.

"We raise our animals with care because we believe it's the right thing to do — full stop."

Our Practices

How We Farm

Truly Free Range

Our animals have real access to open pasture — not a small pen with a door. They roam, graze, and live the way nature intended.

USDA Certified Processing

We process our beef and lamb in a USDA-certified facility. No outside processing, no mystery. You get the animal you ordered.

No Shortcuts

No hormones, no unnecessary antibiotics, no fillers. What you buy from us is exactly what it says it is — nothing added, nothing hidden.

Made by Hand

Our candles and dog treats are made in small batches, using ingredients we trust and recipes we've tested ourselves.

Come Meet the Farm

We love visitors. Come see where your food comes from, meet the animals, and pick up something fresh from the farm stand.
